played for the first time today but didn''t like it very much.
the game seems to dread on forever
too much thinking but not much strategy involved (don''t know if u know what i mean).
played a 2 player game today and it works much better than before. The game ended quickly and quite a lot of tactics involved.

Alternate 2 players rules
as posted by "Jake" on Boardgamegeek
The two player rules are very good, but I had some problems with character knowledge (stemming from the assassin). I came up with my own 2 player variant to fix it (another way to fix it would be to remove the assassin). here it is:
The player with the crown shuffles the 8 characters together and places one face down to the side. he then deals one stack of 4 and one stack of 3.
He takes the stack of 4 and looks at them (the opponent does NOT take the stack of 3 yet). If the crown player likes the stack of 4 he chooses two of the 4 characters for himself and his opponent takes the stack of 3 and the first card dealt to the side and chooses two of those 4.
If the player with the crown does NOT like his stack of 4 he gives it to the other player and takes the stack of 3 (but NOT the first card dealt to the side) and each player chooses 2 from his stack. play as normal after characters are chosen.
Alternate 3 players rules
This variant has the same goal as the former one - prevent the Assassin or the Thief to hit every turn.
Add the Artist to the 9 basic characters . Player A shuffles the 9Character cards and places the top card face down at the center of the table. Of the remaining 8 cards he chooses one for himself and passes 7 cards on to player B.
Player B takes one card and passes 6 cards on to player C who takes one card and discards one face down before passing 4 cards to player A. Resume as with the written rules.
